Good evening! This is Kevin Hudson, Principal of Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy, with information for the week of October 6-10, 2025
This week is the final week of the first quarter. Students need to be sure they meet the assignment due date deadlines.
Students and staff are encouraged to wear blue on Monday, October 6, for World Bullying Prevention Day.
The Students' Exhibition Preference Form is due on Wednesday, October 8th.
Wednesday, October 8, is an early release day. Students will be dismissed at 12:00pm. Each class period at Valley Academy will be 50 minutes long. I have emailed the schedule to our students, and it will be on our website. Students who have DDCC will attend all of their classes as scheduled. Students will be responsible for their work in their Valley classes for the day. The final shuttle bus from YVRCA to DDCC will leave at 11:25am. The final shuttle from DDCC to YVRCA will be at 11:35am. Students will need their own transportation to and from DDCC after those final shuttle times.
Fall break is October 13-17, 2025. Also, there will be no classes at DDCC on October 20th.
All sophomores will take the PreACT on Thursday, October 23, 2025.
