This document provides potential graduates who are interested in investigating various school options beyond Valley with a timeline of events. The deadline for the October 4, 2025, SAT is September 19, 2025. The deadline for the October 18, 2025, ACT is September 12, 2025.
United States Service Academy Day to be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm at DDCC - Rittling Conference Center/2nd floor, hosted by U.S. Senator Ted Budd. Please RSVP at ServiceAcademyNominations@budd.senate.gov
I recommend attending a local College Fair. In fact, Davidson Davie Community College will be hosting a fair on Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Unfortunately, you won't be able to miss a Valley Class or DDCC class to attend; however, if you are in the learning lab, you can make arrangements no less than 24 hours in advance to attend via the form Mr. Hudson gave you. There are several other college fairs you can attend (see dates included in this document). You must register at StriveScan.com in advance to get a barcode or QR code.
Each of you has received an email regarding Leon's Law on your DDCC email account. It was titled Action Needed. This is NOT optional. Students will not be able to meet with Mrs. Forrest for advising, complete registration for next year, or do anything without submitting this form. You need to complete BOTH the Leon's Law form and the FERPA form by September 15. If you click on the Leon's Law form and cannot see it or the student information does not fill in, please let Mrs. Forrest know as soon as possible, and she will contact IT. You MUST enter your parents' contact information. If you live with/see two parents, please click ADD on the Leon's Law form and add them before clicking submit at the bottom.
