Good evening! This is Kevin Hudson, Principal of Yadkin Valley Regional Career Academy, with information for the start of school.
I hope everyone had a great summer! I am excited that our students will be in the building on Monday!
- School fees, technology fees, parking fees, and graduation fees can now be paid through SchoolCash Online. Technology fees and outstanding unpaid fees from last year need to be paid for students to receive their computers.
- A School Fee Waiver form is available in the front office. Technology, parking, and graduation fees cannot be waived.
- August 4 - August 22 are shuttle-only days. Shuttle buses will transport students between their zoned school and YVRCA. Students who choose to ride the shuttle bus to Valley should arrive at their zone school no later than 7:30 am. Caregivers picking up students at their zone schools in the afternoon should arrive no later than 3:00 pm.
- Caregivers bringing students directly to Valley should drive around the school and follow the car rider line to drop students off on the West side of the school building. The same process should be followed for pick-up in the afternoon.
- All students should arrive by 8:00 am and report to the cafeteria to pick up their new, revised schedule.
- All students are being offered free breakfast and lunch again this year.
- We will have grade-level class meetings throughout the day.
- The comprehensive school supply list was sent home during new student orientation and computer pick-up. The list is also available on the school website.
