I am so honored to coach and support the amazing staff and students at Valley Academy as we engage in purposeful and exciting teaching and learning!

I began my journey as a 7th and 8th grade language arts and social studies teacher at Guilford Middle School in Greensboro, NC, and later pursued my Master's degree in Instructional Technology as the demand for technology-rich instruction continues to grow. I also co-own a unique coffee house/event space in Greensboro with my husband, and I love to share my entrepreneurship knowledge with Valley students.

My overarching goal as a Blended Learning Facilitator is to ensure that students are experiencing quality instruction digitally AND in the real world! Every student is issued a laptop (9th and 10th graders have Chromebooks, 11th and 12th graders have Macbooks and PC laptops depending on their career pathway) and our school strives for a balance of meaningful, online instruction and applications as well as hands-on projects and face-to-face educational interactions.
