Career Exploration. Workforce Readiness.
Students at Valley Academy spend their first two years exploring potential careers available in the Piedmont regional area. Through field experiences, guest speakers, projects, and job shadowing, students gain skills and information that will help them choose one of four career pathways at the end of their sophomore year.
Third through fifth year students at Valley Academy take courses aligned to a pathway at Davidson County Community College. Currently their pathway options include: Health sciences, advanced manufacturing and technologies, business and computer technologies, and global logistics. Students must abide by the Satisfactory Academic Progress Standards in order to continue to be enrolled in college courses.
